Halloween is tomorrow!  What are everyones plans?  Halloween party or having a quiet night in passing out candy?  If you're doing the latter I've got some movies for you to watch while you wait for those trick-or-treaters!  You'll laugh, you'll cry (from the fear)!

1. Hocus Pocus

One of my all time favorite Halloween movies.  3 sisters are resurrected for one night and tries to secure a lifetime existance.  There's singing, magic, and bus riding.  You just can't go wrong.  A classic.  A gift to all on all hallows eve! //source

2. Casper

Another one of my favorite movies as a child.  A sweet and a bit lonely ghost falls in love with a human girl.  Will he get the girl or is he forever stuck in the friend zone?  Set in a wonderfully spookey house with the cutest friendliest ghost!  //source

3. Poltergeist

Poltergeist was one of the first horror movie I saw as a kid (thanks big sis!).  After watching Poltergeist you'll want to check on the land your house is built on and remove all televisions in your home.  If the ghost don't scare you, the clown surely will.  //source

4. The Nightmare Before Christmas

What's a man to do when he's sick of the same old job?  Take over Christmas in Christmastown of course!  What can go wrong?  Apparently lots.  //source

5. The Ring

Our very own @jennivinted is the Goth Queen of Vinted  Team.  One of her all time favorite movies to watch on Halloween or any night?  The Ring!  Watch it and let @jennivinted know how you liked it!  Her favorite scene you ask:

There are plenty of wonderful movies to watch Halloween.  What movies do you recommend?  Let me know in the comments below.

Have a spooky and safe Halloween!

Halloween is couple of days away!  I've decided to share a DIY my grandma and I came up with: turing  pumpkins into cats!  It's magically easy!

Tools:

  • Pumpkins
  • Paint and paint brush/ spray paint
  • Craft paper
  • Scrapbooking paper
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun

Instructions:

  1. Find two small pumpkins, real or fake.  I found some that light up and flicker for $1 at the local dollar store!
  2. Time to paint!  My grandma and I painted ours black for Halloween.  Don't feel like painting?  Spray paint works too!
  3. Cut four small triangles out of orange craft or scrapbooking paper.  These will be your ears
  4. You're going to want to cut four small triangles out of patterned scrabooking paper.
  5. Glue the smaller triangles into larger orange triangles and fold the ends of the orange paper.
  6. Glue the ears onto your pumpkin.
  7. Time to make some whiskers!  Cute thin pieces of patterened paper and glue them onto your pumpkin.

 Enjoy!

It is said and recommended to wash your makeup brushes every two weeks of use.

First things first, I am no makeup artist or professional makeup brush cleaner (lol) but I do this every other week, which is recommended by some of the make up sales reps and it totally works for me.

Tools Needed

  • Plastic cup or tupperware
  • Shampoo
  • Small towel
  • Warm water

Step 1:

Gather all your make up brushes. In a small not to tall plastic container or tupperware pour a little bit shampoo and warm water.

Step 2:

Dip your brushes and leave them in there for a few minutes, you will start noticing the water getting dirty, that's all the left over makeup.  Stir your brushes a little in the water or place a little bit of shampoo on the palm of your hand and stir the brush so that all the make up starts coming out.  Then start rinsing each individual brush with warm water. Always rinse brush with hair facing down, you dont want to much water going up the brush since it may damage it.  Repeat a few times until the water from the brushes become clear.

Step 3:

Lay all brushes flat on top of a small towel.  Gently dry them by brushing the hair to their original state then let them air dry. I usually do this at night so in the morning all my brushes are clean, dry, and ready to use.

It might take about 10 minutes of your precious time, depending on how many brushes you have, but I assure you it is 10 times better to wash your brushes than to go out and buy yourself a new one.  Also, remember to try and wash them every two weeks, sometimes having a dirty brush and applying make up to your face may be the cause of some of your acne ;).

Look how cute when they're all clean!

Fall Beauty Tips and Tricks

When I think of fall I think of dark color such as burgundy, plum, and cargo green. But when I think of make up, I think of golden eyes. Today I'm writing about tips and tricks you can use to create your own fall inspired makeup look.  Here's a video that includes some of these tips!

Tip 1:

When using dark lip colors such as purples or reds it's a must that you line your lips.  Not only will this make your lips look more neat ,it will help them stay bold all day long. //source

Tip 2:

If you don't have a lip liner (then you should try to snag a deal on Vinted ;) ), apply the lipstick of your choice as neat as possibe then clean up your lips with a concealer. //source

Tip 3:

When applying a gold eyeshadow try dabbing it on like the same technique you do to use a blotting sheet instead of brushing it on . //source

Tip 4:

If you're using gold eye shadows apply a dark color in the crease.  This will make you eyes pop the gold more noticeable!  //source

Tip 5:

If you choose to wear a winged eyeliner but you can't master the wing try applying scotch tape from the end of your eyelid to the end of your eyebrow. //source //

Books being portayed in film has been increasing in time.  Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, the Notebook have been read and seen by millions.  Some films have done the book justice while others fell short.  Here are some upcoming book movies adaptations!

1. Goosebumps

Goosebumps is a childhood classic of mines and I'm totally excited for the upcoming movies.  Would it still be as terrifying as I remember?  I'll see after it comes out on October 16!

2. Fallen

Has anyone read the young adult paranormal romance novel Fallen? Movie comes out 2016 so there is still TIME to read!

3. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

Pride and Prejudice with a twist: zombies!  How's a girl suppose to fall in love when there is an army of zombies?  Guess we will find out next year.

4. The Choice

Another Nicolas Sparks novel comes to life.  While I have never read The Choice there are some things I've learned from his books: someone is going to die and its going to be sad.  Coming out to a theater near you on February 5, 2016.

5. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Harry Potter fans it is time to rejoice!  While Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them isn't a prequel nor seque, it is set in the same world.  I'll take what I can get from J.K. Rowling so I'll be in the theaters when it comes out on November 18, 2016.

Can't wait for the movie?  Read the book and let me know which one you are looking most forward to!

Fall is officially upon us and with that, you have to change out your summer wardrobe girl! Sorry to break it to you, but the denim Levi’s cutoffs you love so much have to go back in the summer trunk! I’m just as sad as you are! Anyways, now that you’ve done that, I’ve got 5 fashion looks that you definitely need to try when fall fashion officially becomes a thing wherever you are in this world!

1. Over the Knee Boots + Short Skirts/Dresses

Over the Knee boots have almost become a fall stape over the last 2 years, espceially with the rise of the Stuart Weitzman Lowland boot. Those boots have taken over the industry and when you weart them they keep outfits consicse, but also cute and appropriate for most occassions. Wearing the shorter items with the boots keeps legs from drying out, but it also allows for layering winter coats and nice scarves around your neck and body! //source

2. Nude Tones

In a post- Kanye 2.0 show world, nudes have been on the ruse. Nudes are a simple but effective way to look smart and chic, which also followed by mxing printed accessories and shoes into the mix. //source

3. The Off-Duty Model + A Blazer

Everyone wants to be a model and off-duty models are definitely a target for streetstyle photographers. One way to get that essential littered style is to toss on a pair of skinny jeans or trousers, a slubby tee, and a blazer. It's a cute, but simple outfit that can be dressed up or down depending on where you're going, even switiching out flats for heels on a night out!  //source

4. The Waterfall Trench + Fun Dresses

The waterfall trench is a stunning and simple outerwear piece that can be used as a cover for that cute work dress you love or a super club dress for a night out with your friends! Personally, I'd pair a waterfall trench like the woman did above, witha cute, printed shift dress because it doesn't show off my figure too much, with takes away from the coat, but it still expresses my personality and tastes through the dress, while I'm warm and toasy in my coat. //source

5. Mixing Prints

For those who are daring enough, mix your prints!! Whether you're mixing polka dots with stripes or grids with florals, try it! You never know how it'll turn out and during the dreary winter months, mixing prints adds a bit of a flair to your outfits! //source

Do you have any other Fall outfits that you're dying to try? If so, let me know in the comments or show me your fall outfits!!
