We couldn't be happier that you trust your closets to Vinted, and in return, we do our best to keep you safe! One of the ways we do this is by making buyer and seller feedback public, so you know exactly what to expect when you interact with Vinties. Since feedback is at the core of the Vinted community, it’s time we make it even more trustworthy.
We’ve always encouraged Vinties to leave feedback after the order is over. Until recently, the star rating (you know, those little stars next to your name) was calculated from both from the feedback and other factors, including number of orders completed. So even when you manually marked an item as sold, that counted to your rating! Basically, any kind of order that didn’t get feedback was considered positive, as we assumed the deal ended smoothly. But the rules are changing to make the star ratings more accurate, and now leaving feedback is even more important!
Moving forward each feedback given counts towards your star rating, even if left by the same member. Orders without feedback, like those cases where an order is manually marked as sold, will no longer count towards your rating.
So what does this mean? You might see some changes to your current star rating.
If you the rating has dropped, don't worry, you’re still awesome. Just ask Vinties to leave you feedback when your order is over. If your star rating became higher - hooray! Either way, if you’re a rock star seller, your rating will still show that!
There’s more improvement to the feedback system to come, so keep an eye on your inbox to stay in the loop!
