So I've never been into the Ugg boot fad, but I borrowed a pair of my friends Bearpaw boots that are identical to Ugg and they were so cozzy!
I loved them and now I want a pair.
But which brand should I buy? Is there a difference?
If you want the "brand" go with the uggs bc bear paws are the knockoffs, also uggs are made of sheep/cow skin and fur so if you don't support the killing of animals you'll probably want to go for the bp's bc they use fake fur, uggs last long if you take care of them in my opinion but then again I've never had a pair of Bp's, if you don't mind spending the extra money go with the uggs but if you want to save go with the bp's bc they both serve the same purpose which is to keep your feet warm and also look stylish lol
from what i know about bear paws yes they are knock off uggs but the same quality for a cheaper price. they will last long if properly taken care of just as uggs can fall apart if badky handled. id say go with bear paws. its still a name brand, still a great quality, an less then half the price (usually) of uggs
I've never purchased Uggs, but I have purchased a pair of Bearpaw boots and Ukala. Ukala has a sole most similar to Uggs (a really firm foam-like sole) while Bearpaw has this rubbery sole that (as others have said) doesn't last as long. The Ukala boots were the cheapest (like $40) and they've lasted the longest. I recommend NOT being brand loyal and looking on Amazon or department store websites for any sales, as I feel Uggs are overrated. There are many other brands made with the same materials, but Uggs can charge more since people are more willing to fork over the money for their brand name.
I used to work at a shoe store that sold bearpaws and I saw a lot of them come back that were falling apart and coming apart at the seams only after wearing a couple times and sometimes from just trying them on. I think the quality is better in Uggs. I have a few pairs and so do most people in my family, including my boyfriend and we haven't had any problems with them. I've had a pair for over 4 years and love them.
I like Bearpaw because they are cheaper and last just as long. I have a pair that I used in Alaska for 3 years and they are still in great condition and excellent traction. They are the same as UGGs without the brand name. No sense in paying that much just to have that brand.
Dont get uggs. I used to be like obsessed with them and I had a lot of em but it always weirded me out because whenever I bought new ones, I was told NOT to wear ANY socks? I couldn't do that haha. I guess your not supposed to wear socks cause if you do, then your feet sweat and it makes the fur fall out of the boot. So to be honest I would invest In some bearpaws.
