I am going to study abroad in the spring or summer and I'm really debating on where to go! I love the warm weather so I'm leaning towards Italy, Australia or Spain. Has anyone studied abroad or just been to these countries in general? What's your experience?
Keep in mind for Australia the seasons are switched, so depending where, our summer is quite cold for them. That said, both italy and Spain have unbearably hot summers. I personally liked Spain more, many italians were ridiculously rude to me.
The internal economic conditions in Italy may make things rough.. there is considerable political and social unrest.. would not be the best choice at the moment.. I would pick Spain.. and from there you could easily make side trips (time allowing) since train travel thru out Europe is relatively easy... Best wishes ... (I'm jealous... )
I went to Italy to study abroad two summers ago- it was great! I could even suggest a program, the one I went through, and that program took extremely good care of me. I didn't really find Italians rude (tbh the French are much ruder in my experience) in fact, people went out of their way to be nice and generous.
