My name is Lex and I operate shop @little_lavander. I am a simple Midwestern girl from the Suburbs of Chicago with a dream and cardigan as Miley Cyrus sang so blasé in her demented yet extemely catchy pop song. Quite nonchalant, that quote, but can rest parallel to any single one of our lives. I aspire to not just merely sell my garments, but to sell the idea and inspiration. I model from the neck down so others can focus on how I'm feeling on the inside rather than how I look on the outside. I don't want to just sell clothing, I want to pursue a gentle confidence through my fashion.
Firstly, it is of utter importance that I thank this App and what is has done for my well being and livelyhood. I have been a member of Vinted since February of 2014. It's been my mantra since to remain a truthful and genuine seller. I can now say with over 1,000 sales that this is my full time job. The first goal I accomplished was finding a closet cohesion/theme and sticking to it, which leads me to my first key of selling.
Base your listings on your own personal style and sell items that have the same particular vibe. This leads to more followers and an overall cohesive following demographic which can lead to more sales! Yay! If your wandering sense of style is constantly shifting, present your listings as if you have a story to tell. Accomplish this by offering an intriguing yet sell worthy display. Flatlays are super eye catching in the catalog or perhaps modeling could be your next step! The #1 most important thing amongst anything however, is effective lighting. Of course having buyers see the items clearly will help you to sell quicker! Persuade your buyer truthfully, and have a philosophy to sell.
Make your closet unapologetically beautiful and don't focus on the sales! Once you find an audience, the sales with flow. Do not feel fazed or even worse irritated if the sales aren't at your goal just yet. It takes time and patience! If you took a weekend to freshen up your closet- your followers will take notice! There is a seat for every bum, as there is a bum for every seat. If you find your personal selling nitch, you'll begin to feel at ease and comfortable in this community.
Hashtags are a glorious feature to take advantage of. Use key words that girls may search for in the catalog. There is a style to every item, so make sure to hashtag the heck out of it. Deck out your listings by adding more info about the item. Where would you wear it? How would you wear it? Also, try promoting your closet via social media sites or even by good ol' fashion word of mouth! Lastly, we cannot exclude our supreme field of concentration, the pièce de résistance, the longing conclusion of a hard days work, the one and only Vinted Specialty: The Closet Raid. Strive for it, but do not rely on it!
Manifest authentic aesthetic, and you will succeed with ease.
The presentation of your closet though - absolutely great. The outfit and accessory combinations really make it come alive. It also speaks to why modeling can help a closet so much. Congrats on all your sales!
This post is great but if you are looking for more tips go to @jullyann 's profile and click on her forum. She also made a forum for tips on vinted. Basically the vinted bible, I love it. Go look at it ladies!
