Antique Victorian Brides Basket by Meriden B. Company, pattern #2707, circa 1880s-1890s.
Complete 2-piece silver-plate frame:
• Large round bowl with ornate swing handle and hand-chased floral engraving around rim
• Matching pierced pedestal foot / base with openwork border
• Marked on bottom: MERIDEN B. CO. QUADRUPLE PLATE 2707
Original art-glass insert is not included - just the silver-plated holder as shown. The large bowl sits in the pierced footed base.
Condition: Used antique condition with heavy tarnish / patina and surface scratches from age as pictured. No major dents, handle moves freely. Needs a gentle cleaning/polishing. No glass bowl.
Great display piece for a Victorian collection, wedding decor, fruit or plant holder.
