For sale is my Balenciaga "Flap Bag" with flat brass hardware from 2002, in black smooth nappa leather. It's some of the softest leathers I ever felt.
The bag is in overall excellent condition. I had to use the flash on most photos, so the tiny signs of use look a lot worse than they are. There's a wee bit of "rubbing" on the corners, but it's barely noticeable and an easy fix should it bother you. Some of the edge coating along the strap has worn off.
One thing of note: the tag should be only one sided, like it used to be for S/S 02. But sometimes there are some anomalies with Balenciaga. This bag has a F/W 02 tag, two sided. So maybe it was one of the last batches before Bal switched to their moto tough leather? Sometimes it's a mystery with Balenciaga and their inconsistencies.
Both tassels are still present, mirror looks good (only superficial scratches), interior is clean.
The bag holds a decent amount. The shoulder strap is adjustable.
Measurements: approximately 28x20x13cm.
One surprisingly spacious main compartment and a zip pocket inside.
The bag comes in a generic dustbag.
