Pretty little pot with handles and lid, hand-painted in Rouen. It stands on 3 triangular feet. It has a multicoloured flowers drawing on the body and edging on the rims and handles. Stamped "Décor Rouen fait main" that means "Hand made in Rouen".
The city of Rouen, Normandy has been a centre for the production of faience or tin-glazed earthenware pottery, since at least the 1540s. Manufactures there elaborated their own style known as Rouen faience or Vieux Rouen. The decor à la corne (with horn) that can be seen on the side of a pot is very typical for Rouen.
Gražus puodas su rankenomis ir dangčiu, tapytas Ruane. Jis turi 3 trikampių kojelių. Ant jo šonų yra įvairiaspalvis gėlių piešinys, o ant kraštų ir rankenų - apvadai. Pasirašytas "Décor Rouen fait main" kas reiškia "Rankų darbo Ruane".
Ruano miestas Normandijoje buvo fajanso arba alavu glazūruotos keramikos gamybos centras nuo 1540 m. Ten manufaktūros sukūrė savo stilių, vadinamą Rouen faience arba Vieux Rouen. Puodų šonuose matomas dekoras à la corne (su ragu) kuris yra labai būdingas Ruanui.
