Issues adding your phone number

We’re sorry to hear that you’re having trouble verifying your phone number.

Before exploring potential issues, we recommend trying to verify your phone number once more by following the steps below:

  1. Press your profile icon
  2. Select Settings, then Security, and press the 2-step verification option
  3. Enter your phone number and press Send to receive a verification code on your phone
  4. Once received, enter the 4-digit code on the verification screen and press Verify
Important
Please wait a few minutes for the verification code to reach your phone. If it doesn't show up, wait a bit longer and try the process again.

If phone verification keeps failing, read on to identify the issue and find a solution.

Same number already in use on Vinted

Your phone number can only be used on one Vinted account.

If you have duplicate Vinted accounts, please keep only one and delete the other(s).

With duplicate accounts, please follow these steps to verify your phone number:

  1. Delete your old account
  2. Contact us and include your number with its international code in the message

We’ll reset the verification for that number, and you’ll be able to verify it.

Need to update your old phone number?

If you have already verified a different phone number on your Vinted account, you can change your phone number and use the new one.

Typos when entering a phone number or code

Double-check if you have correctly entered your:

  • Phone number with a ‘+’ and country code with no spaces, e.g. +1
  • 4-digit code 

You've entered an invalid phone number too many times

You might have entered the wrong phone number too many times, so verification will be disabled for 2 hours. Please check that you’re providing the correct phone number, and try again later.


Connection/technical issues
  • Check if your phone has a strong signal and proper internet connection
  • Restart your phone and re-insert your SIM card

None of the above
