Shipping methods

There are 2 main shipping methods on Vinted to send packages:

Prepaid Vinted-generated shipping label (integrated shipping)

We also call this our “integrated shipping” method.

When a buyer checks out using the “Buy now” button and chooses one of the integrated shipping providers available on Vinted, they’ll purchase a shipping label for the seller to send the order.

How it works

Once the buyer selects and pays for an integrated shipping (pre-paid label) option at checkout, we’ll send a digital shipping label or a code to get the shipping label to the seller.

Sellers will see this in their inbox, as well as instructions on how to send the order (i.e. if the label needs printed or not, where to drop-off the package, etc).

Important

Once purchased, the prepaid Vinted-generated label must be used to send the order.

If a different label or the wrong shipping method is used, the order will be cancelled automatically.


Compensation & refunds

If you use this shipping method as a buyer, you’ll agree to the shipping provider’s Terms & Conditions — please familiarise yourself with them here.

Buyers can request a refund according to our Buyer Protection policy.

Sellers are compensated for lost or damaged packages depending on the set compensation limits. Learn more about compensation for sellers when using integrated shipping.


Custom shipping

This method lets sellers offer other shipping providers or delivery options that aren’t available on Vinted.

Please note that custom shipping is only available for certain item categories — it’ll only appear as a shipping method depending on the item being listed.

How it works

Here’s how to send an order using custom shipping:

  1. Before listing an item, get a quote from your selected shipping provider about the cost to send it
  2. Make sure the shipping provider has tracking information for the service
  3. Make sure the shipping provider has compensation for lost or damaged items
  4. When uploading the listing, specify the cost of shipping domestically (and international shipping, if you want to offer it) 
  5. Once the item has been purchased, send the order using your selected shipping provider
  6. The shipping cost is repaid once the transaction is completed successfully.

Sellers should always choose shipping with tracking information, and give the tracking number to the buyer.


Compensation & refunds

Buyers can request a refund according to our Buyer Protection policy.

Important

We don’t offer compensation to sellers for lost or damaged orders sent by a custom shipping method.

Sellers need to contact the shipping provider directly about shipping issues and compensation.


Good to know
Delivery option availability

As a buyer, some delivery options can’t be selected due to:

  1. Sellers’ postage settings — sellers can change which shipping providers they want to offer the buyer
  2. Shipping provider limitations — some shipping providers can’t deliver larger packages or deliver to certain postcodes, particularly in remote areas
  3. Availability on Vinted — we may decide to add, remove, or temporarily disable certain shipping methods if needed
