This undercover rose jumper is a real special one not just because it’s brand-new with tags condition I also cannot find another purple crewneck version on the Internet full stop. Created in 2019 by the legendary Jun Takahashi this jumper pays homage to one of my favourite films and books A Clockwork orange I could write so much about this trilogy of books and films but I’ll try to keep it concise. a clockwork Orange is a 1971 dystopian post modern film by Stanley Kubrick who adapted the 1962 novel by Anthony Burgess for the cinema, Kubrick’s work is mainly the reason why this story is so widely known and loved, the film follows Alex (depicted on this jumper) who is the protagonist he’s depicted as a evil character void of all human emotion but as the film progresses they viewer learns to sympathise it also follows his group of his cronies who call themselves droogs it’s a whimsical take on the brutality that were occurring within the world at the time. the gang roam around London committing horrific crimes that they call “ultraviolence” due to these detailed and somewhat graphic scenes it lead this film to be banned in many countries this was especially prominent in the UK due to some of the scenes being re-enacted in real life (singing in the rain scene). these streaks of violence, rape, theft and ultimately murder left Alex to be imprisoned where he is to be subjected to a experimental form of criminal rehabilitation which in turn creates Alex’s demise. Stanley Kubrick is a film hero, and if you haven’t already watch Clockwork orange I highly recommend it and if you already have, watch it again - new condition with tags RRP £395 -
