What is illegal content?
Illegal content can refer to any form of information that’s considered illegal under applicable laws or that relates to illegal activities. Please read our Catalogue Rules for more information about illegal items and listings.
Reporting illegal listings on Vinted
Illegal listings are an example of illegal content on Vinted. You can always use this form to report illegal listings you find on Vinted. You don't need to be a Vinted member to submit a report via this method.
Some examples of illegal listings include:
- Listings that infringe third party’s intellectual property rights (counterfeits, non-authorised usage of copyright-protected images or photos)
- Listings selling unsafe or recalled items
- Listings that correspond with examples of prohibited or illegal items in our Catalogue Rules
What is inappropriate behaviour?
Inappropriate behaviour is any behaviour or posting of content that’s against our Terms & Conditions or Catalogue Rules. This includes spam, scams, phishing, intentionally insulting other members, or listing items that are against our Catalogue Rules.
ImportantIf you’ve disclosed your personal details to another Vinted member and think you may have been scammed, please take immediate action to protect your account.
Please see how to protect yourself against phishing attacks and what you should do if it happens to you.

We'll contact you if we need more information to investigate. However, please note that some details of the investigation result will remain confidential due to privacy policies.
If you’re ever in doubt about when to report an issue, please also check our Community Standards. For more details, please visit our Terms & Conditions, Trust and Safety page, or our Privacy Policy.
You can block another member permanently so they can’t message you or buy your items. To do this, select “Block” instead of “Report” in your messages or on their profile. You can read more about blocking another member here.
Once you’ve reported a member or content, we’ll investigate and then inform you about what action we’ve decided to take. You’ll receive our official moderation decision in either your Vinted inbox or email inbox, depending on how you sent the report.
We may determine that no action is needed. However, if you disagree with our decision, you can submit an appeal via the link in our official moderation decision. In your appeal, please explain why you believe the moderation decision was incorrect and provide any supporting evidence you can. This will help us evaluate your case.
You can make an appeal within 6 months of receiving the moderation decision notice, and a decision can only be appealed once. Note that the reported member can also appeal the initial moderation decision and any action taken against them.
Members and non-member reporters can also appeal our moderation decision, by:
- Submitting a dispute to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body; or
- Bringing an action before national courts in accordance with local applicable laws.
NoteIf you decide to use your right to delete your personal data (based on GDPR article 17), you may not be able to make new appeals or receive notifications from Vinted on your ongoing appeals, including their outcome.
- When listings or members are reported and accordingly moderated, the moderation takes effect in all the markets or countries where visible.
