What photos you should upload
Having many informative photos (up to 20 per listing) and ensuring their quality will help you attract a buyer’s attention and sell more quickly.
Here’s what to keep in mind when taking photos and adding them to your listing:
- First pic, full view
Show the entire item in the first picture. Don’t use collages. - Show your item’s authenticity
When listing an item by a well-known brand (e.g. a luxury brand), make sure to upload close-up photos of details like the labels and logos. Adding plenty of these details helps to show the item’s authenticity. Also, add your proof of purchase (like a receipt or invoice) whenever possible too. - Use your own pics
Don’t use stock or watermarked images, and other pictures you find online. They’re copyrighted and may not show the current condition of your item. - Capture the true colours
Choose pictures taken in natural daylight, over those taken in the lamplight. Also, don’t use flash or filters. - Reveal different angles
Take photos of the item from several angles to make the listing more appealing and complete. - Close-up of important features
Attach close-up photos of important features that aren’t visible in other photos. This may include the item’s logo, care label, stitching and/or similar details. Make sure any text is readable as well. - Show the defects
Show the item’s defects (if any) in the pics. If you don’t mention them, the buyer might want to cancel the order and return the item. - Keep privacy and safety in mind
To help keep things private, it's a good idea to avoid showing your face in photos. You may consider blurring or cropping any identifiable features if you like. Displaying items on a hanger, mannequin, or using a flat lay can also be a great alternative to modeling them yourself.
Additionally, we advise not to disclose private information, such as full names, addresses, phone numbers, or bank details, in your chats.
